We have put together some frequently asked questions to give you more information about Salters’ Hall and our spaces that are available to hire for your next event.

What type of events can be hosted in The Main Hall?

The Main Hall is a grand event space that comprises of deep-red carpets, fluted ash panels and historic ironmongery. The room is perfect for dinner events, receptions, weddings, meetings, conferences, and musical evenings. 

Do you have WIFI available?

Yes, WIFI is available in The Court Room, The Dining Room and Main Hall. 

Do you have an outdoor space?

Yes, Salters' Hall does have outdoor space that can be privately hired between the months of April and September. Our garden can accommodate up to 300 guests. There is also a full wet weather option available.

Are the event spaces at Salters' Hall air-conditioned?

Yes, all of our indoor event spaces are fully air-conditioned.

What type of events can be hosted in The Garden?

Our garden was designed by late English interior designer; David Nightingale Hicks. The space contains part of the London Wall which gives it Roman Heritage site status. It is a perfect area to host conferences, lectures, BBQ's and drinks receptions. 

Does Salters' Hall have a wedding license?

Yes, we do hold a license to host weddings and civil ceremonies.

What is the nearest tube station?

Salters' Hall is a short walk from Moorgate and Barbican Underground stations. If you plan on coming into the city from Liverpool Street, then you can also get the 149, 35, 47 or 388 buses to our venue. 

What type of events can be hosted in The Court Room?

The Court Room at Salters' Hall is a small space that can be hired for intimate events. Its interior boasts rosewood panelling and beautiful stained-glass windows. It is a perfect room for dinners, receptions, meetings and conferences.

Is there parking available at Salters' Hall?

Public parking is available nearby at the Barbican Centre. There is also limited on-street parking in London Wall Place that is usually available after 6.30PM.

What type of events can be hosted in The Dining Room?

The Dining Room at Salters' Hall is a small space that can be used as a breakout area as part of a larger event and overlooks The Main Hall. It is a room that is perfect for meetings, conferences and small dinner events. 

Is Salters' Hall a Licensed Venue?

Yes, Salters' Hall is a licenced a venue which means we can serve alcohol in The Court Room, The Dining Room, The Garden and Main Hall.

How much does it cost to hire your event spaces?

Prices depend on which areas you would like to hire for your next event. For a bespoke quote, please contact our team who will be more than happy to deal with your enquiry.

Can you recommend a caterer?

We have been working alongside Seasoned Events for a number of years. They are an independent specialist event caterer with over 40 years' experience. They can provide a tailored service using locally sourced food to deliver an impressive menu for your event at Salters' Hall. 

Can you recommend any local accommodation?

Yes, we can advise you on what local accommodation you can use after your event at Salters' Hall. 

Is Salters' Hall a smoke-free venue?

In line with the law, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside our venue or outdoor areas. 

Can I decorate the venue during my event?

Due to our Roman Heritage site status, nothing can be fixed to any wall or surface. This includes both our indoor and outdoor areas. Freestanding decorations are allowed, but please speak to one of our team to discuss your requirements. 

Can I visit Salters' Hall before I make a booking?

We would be more than happy for you to come look at our stunning venue. However, this is only possible when there isn't a private event taking place. 

Does Salters' Hall have a music license?

Yes, we have PRS and PPL license which means we can legally play music in our venue. 

Is your venue suitable for corporate events?

Yes, Salters' Hall is perfect for corporate events and can be used exclusively. Our venue is regularly booked for conferences, seminars and lectures.
